celebrate summer

In commemoration of what a great month July was, here are some great (if I do say so myself) photographs of the Fourth of July parade in the lil' ol' town of Round Top, Texas.  This is one of my most favorite 4th hot spots ... and I am pretty picky when it comes to my Fourth of July holiday!

I think what I love most about the parade is the mix of city people and country folk focused on loving their country.  And in Texas, the USA and the state of Texas are often melded together when it comes to patriotism.  The parade is good clean fun (except for what the horses leave behind on the pavement, and that made one of my favorite shots).

Enjoy! (the photographs, of course!)
